I have combined these Raw Diet cat foods for a guide to feeding better foods to your cats. The difference in your cats health, personality, and skin and coat is overwhelming when feeding a raw diet. The allergies your cat has, will more than likely disappear after being on a raw diet along with other health issues. This is your BEST alternative over any other pet foods on the market today that are over-processed, toxic, filled with preservatives and who knows what else. (Diseased, euthanized animals from shelters and many other ingredients that are not for human consumption.)
Just so you are aware, many times these raw foods need to be shipped over night or within a 1-2 day period so shipping can be more than you expect. If you can find these in a local store or if you find online and are possibly located close enough to you for it not to be so costly, this will be the easiest way to go but not the most cost efficient.
If it is out of your budget or none are close enough for you, you still have alternatives. These foods here are a commercial raw diet. (The dehydrated or freeze dried foods do not need to be shipped overnight with ice.)

To feed raw from home on your own, you can feed raw meats and veggies with added supplements and the cost be a lot less. You will just spend a little more time in the kitchen for preparation but your kitties will love you for it. BEFORE you decide to make that step, please learn how to feed raw from home first. It is very important that you get an idea on what your suppose to do to balance out the diet. Please don't try it on your own without plenty of research.
The advantages of feeding a Raw Diet FAR outweigh any concern for bacteria if you take your normal simple steps when preparing meats as you do for you and your family.
Also recommended, change your commercial pet foods every 3 months to make sure your pets system isn't lacking in all the nutrients. Some pet foods offer certain ones and the others offer other nutrients. Keep changing it up but make sure to transition slowly.

*When your kitty already has health issues, please check with a holistic vet or animal nutritionist before deciding on a raw diet. Not all cats with health issues are good candidates to start a raw diet. If you are seriously interested in changing your cats diet, find a group of people with similar interests.
Other options for purchasing meats for you and your family and your cat(s) is checking with co-ops in your area.
Also another option you can find online is places that specifically make raw foods to sale. Scroll to very bottom for a list of suppliers I have links for so far. Some may also work for kitties but is available for dogs also. |
The Best Dishes to Use to Feed Your Cat
Use ceramic, glass, or stainless steel bowls to feed your cat, and make sure they’re heavy enough that they won’t tip or spill while he’s eating. Don’t use plastic bowls, They contain BPA as well as plastic is a breeding ground for germs, and it can retain the smell of cleaning products and previous meals, which may discourage your cat from eating.
Do not use strong detergents or bleach to clean your cat’s food and water dishes, as these products can be toxic. Instead, wash bowls between feedings with a mild dish washing detergent, and always rinse thoroughly.
