• The National Organic Program (NOP), which regulates organic foods, lacks the legal authority to regulate “organic” label claims on pet food, except when pet food operations voluntarily choose to meet organic food standards, gain NOP certification, and use the USDA Organic label. As a result, some organic pet food products are certified to the USDA NOP and follow the same labeling guidelines as organic food for humans.
• Some “organic” pet food products are not certified to any standard. Look for the Organic Label!

I searched out ORGANIC only dog foods that are USDA CERTIFIED. You can buy a good premium dog food and still get the tainted foods that even us humans eat that's been covered with Glyphosate. The pesticide found in Roundup. Very toxic. So feeding organic avoids those chemicals.
Also what you want to look for is the USDA label. If it doesn't have that label then it isn't truly organic. Don't be fooled by these companies that claim organic when the USDA label isn't there.

Some of these contain white potatoes and grains which is not recommended in any diet. You want grain free and potato free. But I am providing you with organic options. Your decision.
Just make sure to provide your dog with sufficient water since dehydrated foods may lack moisture content. This list is created merely to help give direction to the pet parent looking for a better dog food. Prices on these foods may be slightly higher than your normal dry foods but your getting a better quality food for your dog.

AAFCO says “human-grade” is false and misleading, and constitutes misbranding. This applies to pet foods classified as "Natural" or "Organic" It MUST contain the USDA label to be truly organic.
When feeding your pets, change the food every 3 months so that the pets system won't become nutrient deficient or acquire food intolerances and allergies as all foods are different and may not offer all that is needed and can further cause health issues. You can also provide some extra supplements to help make up for some of this loss.
**Note: Potatoes are high in carbs and break down into sugar and are carcinogenic. Dogs do not need carbs for energy like humans. They get energy from fats.

The Best Dishes to Use to Feed Your Dog
Use ceramic, glass, or high quality stainless steel bowls to feed your dog, and make sure they’re heavy enough that they won’t tip or spill while he’s eating. Don’t use plastic bowls. They contain BPA as well as plastic is a breeding ground for germs, and it can retain the smell of cleaning products and previous meals, which may discourage your dog from eating.
Do not use strong detergents or bleach to clean your dog’s food and water dishes, as these products can be toxic. Instead, wash bowls between feedings with a mild dishwashing detergent, and always rinse thoroughly.
