​In America it seems that we have many dogs being killed by police. While people that do not understand certain breeds, just know...dogs are dogs. No breed is any different. None are more vicious than the other. It isn't possible. An animal has instincts to survive and protect. They will protect their property and their food. It is a natural instinct for a dog to run towards a stranger barking at them to protect their property and family. No one is to say if that dog will bite or not. He is only doing what his instincts tell him.  99 percent of these dogs are family pets. A dog bite isn't deadly only under rare circumstances. And we can argue and debate over this logic by people that don't understand dogs or don't have a love for them.  Whether a pet owners dog GETS LOOSE and it happens everyday by accident, that is NO reason to SHOOT and kill anyone's family pet.  If a pack of wild dogs are running the streets and attacking people, that would be a different scenario..but overall this is NOT what is happening today. Many of these cops are being told to shoot and kill these dogs. They are hollering " I feared for my life". I can tell you, if a cop fears for his life because a dog is running towards him barking, then  that cop has some serious issues and should not be a police officer. If he has only one thing on his mind and that is shoot to kill..then he again has no reason to wear a badge. I call these rogue cops, Criminals with Badges. There are MANY other ways to deal with dogs. Many dogs have been shot and killed because the officer showed up at the wrong house to serve a warrant or has entered into someone's backyard without alerting the homeowner or having permission. As this video says, 25 dogs are shot daily by a cop. Or one every 52 minutes.  ​

​If your dog happened to get out of your yard or if he was minding his own business in his backyard and a cop comes through the gate or hops your fence..does that give him a right to shoot that dog? Would you want your dog shot? Cops need to be retrained and taught other means of restraining an animal. Any animal. They also should call animal control and not deal with it themselves. Every case is different but every case should have a good ending as well.  It CAN happen with patience and training. 

I could talk about this for hours with scenario's but I won't. All I am saying is, LEARN about dogs, how  the think, how they have natural instinct to protect their property. Just because a dog is barking and running at you, is no indication that dog will bite. It is a warning. Most of the time, a dog bite comes from silence. You don't see it coming.  ​
​If you have children, NEVER EVER EVER leave ANY dog alone with that child under any circumstances. You may have the sweetest friendliest dog in the world, but ALL animals will/can bite. It is their way of speaking that they have been pushed enough and can't take it anymore.  Even things you don't think should or would bother a family pet, can trigger them.  Most all dog bites are  related to child bites and most of the time it's because that parent doesn't know the warning signs that the dog has had enough. From ear or tail pulling to hugging them. Some dogs don't like hugs. It isn't acceptable for children to pick on or  play with dogs without a parent being RIGHT THERE at all times (never leave that room). So my point is, dogs will be dogs but they are not conditioned to kill. Only protect.
​ ( I am not talking about dogs that are trained to attack just like police dogs) It is VERY RARE that a dog  would attack to kill. I advise you to contact a trainer to help understand how dogs think and what can make them react. Now for cops, they are trained to shoot. We are hearing stories every day of people being shot and killed as well.  People that are not threatening nor have a weapon.  ​​
This shooting of our pets has to stop. NO dog breed is worse than the other but yet they are being stereotyped as killers. Dogs are not killers. How many households have dogs in them? Most are loving and fun pets and they are our family members. It is the news media that LOVES to put a spin on breeds. It's been happening for hundreds of years.  They decide on a certain breed to pick on and that's when news media takes over  and blows it way out of proportion.  People are being brainwashed..and it seems to be the pitbull at this time they are focusing on. Before it was the German Shepherd, the Rottweilers and Dobermans. Which breed is next? 

Shouldn't we be more concerned about the real biters? Chihuahua's have a high bite incident as many other small breeds.  But as I said..all dogs can bite if put into a stressful situation. That DOES NOT Give ANYONE the right to shoot. NONE!! Pick up a stick, I bet that dog will run the other way. What about  those loud  can horns? What about  spray deterrents?  I can think of many things to use to scare that dog or block them, so WHY are these rogue cops killing our pets? THIS MUST STOP! There is NO EXCUSE!!! NONE!!! If a mail carrier can do his job every single day and you know they walk up on dogs daily, do you hear them killing dogs? No you don't. Cause they know it's a pet and they know how to ward these  dogs off. So WHY CAN'T COPS?  There is no excuse to SHOOT A FAMILY PET...EVER!

I am also finding they love to cover up these shootings. They are investigating themselves. REALLY?
​Now to all you dog owners and especially ones with pit bull mixes cause that's what most are. They may have lab or collie or some other breed but yet they are all labeled pitbull.  Pitbull is a word used for bully breeds. It is not a breed itself. The true name for these dogs they are calling pitbulls are American Staffordshire Terriers and they are recognized by the AKC as a breed.  These dogs are not villains and they are NOT vicious. So all of you with these bully breeds,  double check your fences, lock your gates, put up  an electric fence around the top so no one can hop over into your yard. Do not leave your dogs outside while you are not home. Keep them indoors with you. Only let them go out while you are present. Keep them on a leash with you on the other end  when not in a fenced yard. Do not use retractable leashes for walking your dog. They are useless in trying to pull your dog back from a fight with another dog. It erks me to see  people using these.  It's ok to use them only in your own yard and unable to reach the sidewalk or where people are walking. Do not let your dog run wild.  I have seen many dogs running loose with owner present and they have ZERO control over that dog. I call it not having manners but these dogs and pet owners NEED training.  OBEDIENCE can make or break an incident. TRAIN YOUR DOGS. Don't let your dog have the say on what he does. Take control.  I think I see this more than anything. ​
​Pet Parents that don't have a clue or know the first thing about training a pet.  If your dog is on a tether in your front yard while you are with him, make sure he has on a harness, not a collar especially for escape artists. Collars are easy to slip out of. That goes for walking dogs as well. DO NOT in any form or fashion EVER EVER EVER chain a dog in a backyard and leave him there. NEVER EVER do this. If you do, you are a CRAPPY dog owner and it's time for you to surrender that dog. You are not a pet parent. You are making that dog vicious! A chained dog is a vicious dog because that dog HATES being tied up with no social interaction at all. If you don't have a fence, don't have a dog. Get a fence period!!!

 If you live in an apt, take your dog on walks EVERY SINGLE day so he can burn off some pent up energy. Be a responsible pet parent and  ALWAYS think about the safety of your pet so that he can't and won't be shot by rogue cops ready to pull the trigger.

​The family of a dog, that was shot and killed at a child's birthday party, by a Wynnewood Police officer is speaking out. They were demanding answers at a City Council meeting Monday. They are now asking for that officer to be removed from the force.
The dog was named Parrot. 
This was taken moments before Parrot was murdered by the cop. The cop drove his knee into the middle of Parrot's back while stretching Parrot's forelegs behind him, as one would do with an armed criminal. Without waiting to determine whether this technique would calm Parrot, the cop grabbed Parrot, lifted him off the ground, and brought him to the top of the concrete staircase.
He threw Parrot over the banister, down twelve steps, and onto the concrete floor. Then, the cop stood at the top of the stairs, drew his weapon, and executed Parrot. Aaron, the animal's owner, cannot recall the number of shots fired. Witnesses state that Parrot was not harming anybody and was simply frightened by the cop. At no time did Parrot try to bite the officer, all he did was start barking.
It doesn't matter if you are a part of an Occupy movement, PETA, Republican, Democrat, Independent Religious or not, if you are a part of the human race this should be a wake up call that something is very wrong with our society.
Isn't brutally killing animals something that most Serial Killers do right before they switch to killing humans?
